Hospice Volunteers Needed

Elara Caring, one of the nation's largest providers of home-based and hospice care, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life companionship to local hospice patients and their families. We are currently recruiting volunteers in this service area, but in-person volunteer work will not start until restrictions are lifted.

We are currently providing several remote volunteer opportunities in the meantime! This includes:

• Recording a book reading for patients who are unable to see friends and family members

• Creating activity packets for patients and families

• Writing cards for families who have recently lost loved ones

• Participating in monthly activities such as patient newsletters and healthcare worker appreciation projects

Hours are very flexible! You can choose from weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Typically, we ask you to donate an hour of your time once a week.
