    Description

    Fundraising Development Coordinator - Board Member

    The Fundraising Development Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure financial support for LLN's programs and event initiatives. This role includes cultivating relationships with donors, planning fundraising events, submitting sponsorship proposals, and managing donor databases. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the LLN's mission, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to meet fundraising goals.

    Responsibilities

    Donor Engagement and Relationship Building

    • Identify, research, and cultivate relationships with potential individual and corporate donors.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with current donors to encourage repeat and increased contributions.
    • Plan and execute donor appreciation and stewardship activities.

    Fundraising Campaigns and Events

    • Create and implement annual fundraising strategies, including major giving, peer-to-peer campaigns, and online fundraising initiatives.
    • Plan, organize, and execute LLN’s existing fundraising events, such as our gala, Heel-A-Thon Walk, and survivor models fashion show.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional materials for campaigns and events.

    Donor Database Management and Reporting

    • Oversee confidential donor management systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
    • Work with LLN’s leadership to set fundraising goals and strategies.
    • Use data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.

    Requirements and Skills

    Proven success in achieving fundraising goals and managing donor relationships.

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

    Familiarity with donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) and online fundraising platforms.

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

    At least 2 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or related fields.

    This will be a 2-year board seat term that can be rolled over to another 2-year term, if Board service is in good standing. Meetings with LLN leadership will happen via zoom for 1 hour as needed.
