    Description

Sometimes the most powerful gift we can give is simply to show up.

To sit beside someone who feels alone.

To listen to a story that may never have been told.

To hold a hand when words aren’t enough.

Our hospice volunteers are everyday people with extraordinary hearts. At the bedside or in the living room, they bring comfort, dignity, and companionship to patients during life’s final chapter.

    As a volunteer, you might:

    • Share conversation and laughter
    • Read a favorite book or scripture aloud
    • Offer a gentle presence during quiet moments
    • Give family caregivers a short break to rest
    • Share a special talent such as music, crafts, or prayer

    What’s in it for you?

    • A chance to create meaningful connections that stay in the heart forever
    • Training and support so you never feel unprepared
    • The privilege of offering comfort when it matters most

    Requirements:

    • Background check, TB test, and training (all provided at no cost)
    • An open heart, a listening ear, and respect for confidentiality
