    First & Gold Foundation

    Status: Volunteer / Part-Time

    Time Commitment: Approximately 6–8 hours per week

    Location: Remote

    Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Our digital presence plays a critical role in storytelling, engagement, and community trust.

    Position Overview

    The Social Media & Content Coordinator supports the execution of First & Gold Foundation’s digital content and social media strategy. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role focuses on day-to-day content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across social platforms.

    This is an ideal role for someone looking to build experience in nonprofit marketing, social media, and mission-driven storytelling.

    Key Responsibilities

    Social Media Management

    • Schedule and publish content across social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn)
    • Monitor comments and messages and escalate as needed
    • Maintain an organized content calendar in coordination with the CMO

    Content Creation & Support

    • Assist with creating captions, short-form content, and basic graphics or video
    • Repurpose program updates, photos, and stories into social-ready content
    • Support campaigns, events, and announcements with timely posts

    Community Engagement

    • Engage with followers in a positive, professional, and mission-aligned manner
    • Support community growth through consistent posting and interaction
    • Flag sensitive content or concerns to the CMO promptly

    Collaboration & Reporting

    • Collaborate with the Brand & Content Lead and program team to gather content
    • Track basic engagement metrics (likes, shares, comments, reach)
    • Provide regular updates to the CMO on content performance

    Qualifications

    • Interest or experience in social media, digital marketing, or communications
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends
    • Organized, reliable, and able to meet deadlines
    • Experience with basic design or social tools (e.g., Canva, scheduling platforms) preferred
    • Mission-driven and eager to learn

    Time Commitment

    • Approximately 6–8 hours per week
    • Flexible schedule with some responsiveness during posting windows
