Sell Maritime Artifacts on Ebay for the USS Midway Museum

The USS Midway Museum is looking for a mission-driven volunteer to help list donated items for sale on your eBay account. This remote-friendly role supports the preservation of history for generations to come.

What You'll Do:

• List donated items on eBay using your personal account (required)
• Work approximately 1–4 hours per week (flexible schedule)
• Research/write descriptions and take photos of historic artifacts with some assistance from staff and volunteers.
• Drop off sold packages at your local post office
• Occasionally visit the ship to pick up or photograph items
• Keep accurate records, deduct expenses for posting and mailing, and give a quarterly accounting with a check to the Curatorial Department.

Who You Are:

• You have some experience selling on eBay
• You have a personal eBay account in good standing
• You own or have reliable transportation to and from the ship
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
• Personal computer or smartphone
• Personal camera or smart phone to take pictures of items.
• You’re tech-savvy, organized, and have attention to detail
• Detail-oriented, a quick learner, and self-motivated.
• You’re passionate about giving back and making a local impact
