    Description

    The Ventura County Educational Center in Moorpark seeks motivated interns to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience while supporting students and families in our community.

    Children Mending Hearts empowers underserved youth through educational and creative programs that build empathy, encourage resilience, and inspire positive community engagement. We are dedicated to providing young people with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive, while fostering compassion and understanding across diverse communities.

    Internship Opportunities:

    • Administrative Support—Help with scheduling, record keeping, data entry, organizing files, answering phones and emails, and supporting program coordination.
    • Virtual Tutoring – Provide academic support to students in a variety of subjects online, help with homework, encourage study skills, and track student progress.
    • Event & Program Support – Help plan, prepare, and run educational workshops, family events, and community activities.
    • Outreach & Communication: Help create flyers, update social media posts, and share information with families and partners.
    • Resource Development – Help gather and organize educational materials, prepare handouts, and research tools to strengthen tutoring and family support.
    • Mentorship & Student Engagement – Serve as a positive role model by encouraging participation, fostering connection, and celebrating student achievements.
