Description
Reports to: Executive Director
Hours: 3–5 hrs/week
Commitment: 6–12 months
Role Summary
Facilitates support groups for domestic violence survivors using trauma-informed, empowerment-based frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate weekly or biweekly DV support groups
- Create safe, confidential spaces for sharing and healing
- Follow all trauma-informed and empowerment-based practices
- Maintain attendance records and safety guidelines
- Collaborate with case managers for follow-up needs
- Ensure conversations stay within scope (not therapy)
Qualifications
- Illinois 40-hour Domestic Violence Certification required
- Experience facilitating groups or working with survivors
- Strong emotional regulation and grounding
- Commitment to survivor choice, voice, and dignity
