    Description

The volunteer opportunity is primarily cleaning. Cat cuddling and grooming are important, but the priority is for the cats to have a clean environment and be fed and watered. FRFA needs consistent, reliable volunteers that can commit to a minimum of a four hour shift once a week and we prefer a minimum three month commitment. However, it is a great opportunity to spend time with all of our favourite furry friends, in a welcoming, inclusive environment. You would get a thorough, but gentle, workout- no need to go to the gym. Exact duties, which would be determined after an initial visit, would depend on the individual. They would consist of some combination of cleaning cages, cleaning litter boxes, cleaning food bowls, brushing cat trees, feeding and medication, and grooming.

FRFA is on a bus route in the McCall Lake area, east of Deerfoot Trail, between 32nd Ave & McKnight Blvd NE. This opportunity is best suited to those that drive, or regularly take Calgary Transit.
