    Description

    Health Matters Clinic (HMC) is seeking a Grant Writer to help power our mission of Helping & Healing by securing funding for programs that advance health equity. This role is perfect for someone who loves research, writing, and storytelling - and wants to see their words transform into real-world impact.

    Your role will include:

    • Researching grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies
    • Drafting compelling proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports
    • Helping track deadlines and submission requirements in our grants calendar
    • Working with program staff to collect stories, data, and outcomes for applications
    • Supporting the development of templates and boilerplate language for future use

    What we’re looking for:

    • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
    • Organized and detail-oriented, able to meet deadlines
    • Experience with grant writing or nonprofit fundraising preferred (but not required)
    • Comfortable working in Google Docs/Notion for collaborative drafting
    • Able to commit 5-7 hrs/week for at least 6 months (1 year preferred)
    • Passion for equity, health, and community-driven change
