Pets provide unconditional love and emotional support to some of our community's most vulnerable, including the unhoused. In honor of that bond, the OHS Pet Meals-on-Wheels (PMOW) program was created to help pet owners care for and keep their animals, regardless of circumstance. We pack and distribute pet food and supplies weekly from our site in Fremont, partnering with local food banks, shelters, and outreach groups to deliver directly to low-income and unhoused individuals throughout the Tri-City area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Onboard new delivery sites by adding them to the schedule, creating site documentation, and assigning drivers.
- Coordinate with delivery sites regularly to ensure they receive the correct supplies and support.
- Manage and update the driver schedule, communicating changes promptly (e.g., holidays, sick leave, cancellations).
- Review driver timesheets weekly to verify hours are accurate.
- Audit distribution databases weekly to confirm deliveries are properly logged.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient with Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Drive)
- Professional texting and phone etiquette
- Clear and effective communication
- Ability to follow written instructions accurately
