    The goal is to have you investing 8-10 hrs/wk. There is additional time to start so you are fully aware of what is needed. Most of your time goes to arranging interviews with some time allotted for tailoring the message.

    Description

    Family Shed is a safe space for soldiers and veterans to come together with the community. Where each person can share their knowledge and skills as we build healthy relationships. Family Shed is motivated by personal responsibility and supports community accountability.

    It’s a great message, yes? This is why we need your help scheduling interviews for Family Shed founder, Rev. Conrad Hall. We need to get the word out so people who want to support veterans, cure the loneliness epidemic, and build healthy relationships can discover how Family Shed helps them build the successes they desire.

    Role Overview

    We are looking for a dedicated, dependable, and self-motivated Interview Scheduler to drive Family Shed’s effort to build an audience in Toronto and the Golden Horseshoe. Your efforts will drive the growth and sustainability of Family Shed.

    • *This is an excellent opportunity for the person seeking to enhance their experience in media relations, cause marketing, and messaging.

    What You Are Doing

    • Use existing media kit resources to craft the Family Shed message to suit media interests and requirements
    • Refine the Family Shed message to make it attractive to specific and varied audiences
    • Contact media outlets and content creators to schedule interviews
    • Consistently review and modify interview question lists to connect with current events and developing research

    Your Qualifications and Our Requirements

    • Previous experience scheduling interviews, communicating with media, and building interview question lists is spectacular. What you absolutely must have is understanding of the differences between a podcast, radio, television, and print interview.
    • Fluency in English written and oral communications. You are the relay point for communication between media and Rev. Hall. You must be able to receive and communicate messages accurately and faithfully.
    • Strong organisational skills that enable you to manage your time as well as consider, and manage, Rev. Hall’s interview calendar.
    • High level of discretion, reliability, and trustworthiness because you are going to know things before the public. It’s okay to learn how to tease the public with information, but you have to start with knowing how to keep something secret.
    • Be comfortable working independently while maintaining communication with Rev. Hall, and occasionally attending in-person meetings with the Family Shed team.
    • Experience using MS Office programs and Google Workspace (especially Drive and Gmail). We will teach you how to use Guest Match, Copper CRM, and other tools we use.
    • Being fluent in French or Spanish is really helpful and far from required.

    Commitment

    • Look to invest 6-10 hours per week
    • The schedule is flexible based on when media personnel and content creators are available
