Communications, Newsletter & Data Coordinator + Intergenerational Tech Wellness Program Lead

This customized role will support Mentify Inc.’s communication strategy and lead a new initiative focused on building intergenerational connection and mental wellness through technology access and confidence.

The coordinator will manage newsletters, the weekly “Stat of the Week,” and develop a Mentify-aligned program that helps seniors feel supported, connected, and empowered through tech — ultimately reducing isolation and enhancing emotional well-being.

This approach fits Mentify’s mission by promoting mental health, community bonds, and multi-generational support systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Communications & Newsletter Duties (Core to Mentify Inc.)
    • Create engaging monthly or bi-weekly newsletters featuring programs, events, youth highlights, and community resources.
    • Maintain email lists, write content, and design graphics.
    • Track engagement analytics to support growth and outreach.
    1. “Stat of the Week” Mental Health Data
    • Research mental health and wellness statistics.
    • Create simple, educational graphics in Canva.
    • Publish weekly across platforms to increase community awareness and education.
    1. Special Assignment — Intergenerational Tech Wellness Program

This program supports Mentify’s mission by helping seniors:

    • stay mentally active,
    • reduce loneliness,
    • strengthen family connections, and
    • build confidence navigating the digital world.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Conducting community research to identify senior tech barriers related to mental wellness and connection.
    • Creating a simple, supportive curriculum such as:
      • Using video calls to stay connected with grandkids
      • Accessing local mental health or community resources
      • Digital safety & scam prevention (reducing anxiety and stress)
      • Using health apps, calendars, and reminders
    • Designing easy-to-understand handouts, guides, or workshops.
    • Helping recruit volunteers (including youth mentors) to promote intergenerational bonding.
    • Creating branding, flyers, and outreach content through Mentify’s voice.
    • Piloting and adjusting the program based on feedback and participation.

This keeps the new initiative deeply connected to Mentify’s purpose of improving emotional health, connection, and community engagement.

    Secondary Responsibilities

    • Assist with social media posts or graphic content.
    • Support event promotions and storytelling.
    • Help build consistency across all communication channels.

    Qualifications

    • Strong writing and research abilities.
    • Experience or interest in Canva and digital design.
    • Basic tech skills and ability to teach simple processes.
    • Patience, empathy, and understanding of diverse learning needs.
    • Comfortable supporting mental health–related topics.

    Time Commitment

    • 6–12 hours per week (flexible to candidate availability).
    • Weekly meetings/check-ins recommended.

    What Mentify Provides

    • Creative leadership opportunities.
    • Experience in communications AND program development.
    • A chance to help reduce isolation among seniors through a wellness-focused tech program.
