    Programming Assistant Intern

    Programming Assistant Intern — Artists Talk On Art (ATOA)

    Hours: ~5 hours per week

    Location: Remote (NYC-based preferred, but not required.)

    Compensation: Unpaid, school credit available

    Artists Talk On Art (ATOA) has by conducted over 1,200 talks featuring more than 9,000 artists and a significant number of art critics, historians, gallery directors, and curators. It has served a largely art world constituency and presented artists to an audience of hundreds of thousands.

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Programming Assistant Intern to support our programming and artist communications.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Collecting and organizing artist materials such as headshots, artwork images, bios, resumes, and statements
    • Maintaining organized digital records of artist information
    • Communicating directly with participating artists to answer questions about ATOA programs, schedules, and expectations
    • Assisting with general programming logistics as needed

    This role is ideal for:

    • Art students currently enrolled in an undergraduate program, especially in studio art, photography, art history, or related fields
    • Those interested in working closely with contemporary artists
    • Anyone looking to gain behind-the-scenes experience in organizing public art events

    Skills we’re looking for:

    • Strong organization and attention to detail
    • Clear and professional communication skills
    • Reliability and ability to meet small weekly deadlines
    • Comfort using Google Drive, Constant Contact, and email

    This internship offers hands-on experience in arts nonprofit programming and direct engagement with working artists. School credit is available, and the time commitment is approximately 5 hours per week.
