    Description

    Turtle Monitoring

    Help protect endangered Hawksbill and Green turtles through in-water monitoring and photo ID research in the Marine Protected Area surrounding Nosy Komba. MRCI’s Turtle Monitoring Program combines conservation, snorkelling, and data collection.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Conducting snorkel surveys to identify individual turtles

    • Recording behaviours, habitat use, and environmental data

    • Uploading sightings to global databases like Internet of Turtles

    • Supporting education and outreach activities on turtle conservation

    Qualifications:

    • Comfortable swimming/snorkelling

    • Interest in marine biology and conservation

    • Basic data recording and observation skills

    Ideal for ocean lovers and aspiring marine scientists looking to contribute to species protection.
