Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. & Northern Virginia ReStores accepts donations of new, used, and surplus building supplies, appliances, furniture, and other home improvement items for resale to the general public at below-retail prices. The proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Washington, D.C. & Northern Virginia and our work in the community to provide affordable homeownership opportunities to families.
What will you be doing? Volunteers will work with ReStore staff collecting and receiving donated materials, pricing and stocking items on the store floor, cleaning and organizing the store, and assisting customers in the store. If there is any particular skill set you'd like to utilize such as organization or selling, let our staff know and they'll let you flex that skill set. If you are interested in volunteering at the Chantilly ReStore, you can sign up to volunteer at: https://vhub.at/idealist
Please Note: Volunteers must be 16 years or older to volunteer. If the volunteer is under 18, the waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
For pre-trial or court-ordered community service hours, please complete a screening at vhub.at/covols.
