    LifeSmart Education is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing access to nontraditional educational classes and resources for underserved youth and communities. We equip individuals with essential life management skills to help them succeed socially and emotionally. Our goal is to empower youth to reach their highest potential as responsible and engaged global citizens.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Program Director to shape educational content and improve learning outcomes for underserved youth. You will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our curriculum, ensuring its effectiveness in empowering students. After three months, volunteers may earn a LinkedIn endorsement and/or a referral.

    Role Description

    We are seeking a Volunteer Program Director to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of LifeSmart Education’s curricula. This role involves designing innovative learning materials, training instructors, and ensuring that our programs meet the needs of the communities we serve.

    This is a remote, flexible volunteer position requiring a commitment of 10-15 hours per week for six months.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and refine curricula for financial literacy and life skills programs.
    • Ensure alignment of curriculum content with educational standards and LifeSmart Education’s mission.
    • Train and support instructors to effectively deliver program materials.
    • Collaborate with schools and community partners to tailor curriculum implementation.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Research best practices in curriculum design and instructional methods.
    • Oversee curriculum updates based on student feedback and educational trends.
    • Respond to emails within 36 hours and complete assignments in a timely manner.

    Skills and Experience

    • 3+ years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or education leadership.
    • Strong knowledge of education best practices and learning methodologies.
    • Experience in teacher training, mentoring, or coaching is a plus.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and community partners.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Passion for youth education and a commitment to making a lasting impact.
