The Donovan’s Venom is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on curating universal accessibility to fine arts and music education for all. We are passionately dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to high-quality music education, performance opportunities, and fine art. We aim to inspire, empower, and uplift communities by fostering a love for music and the arts through our commitment to education, inclusivity, diversity, and social impact, which drives us to expand our reach continually and enrich the lives of those we serve.
We’re looking for a Director of Strategic Planning to join our growing team!
What you’ll do:
- Leads the development of the organization's strategic plan, which outlines the vision, mission, goals, and objectives for the future
- Analyze market trends, competitive intelligence, and internal capabilities to identify strategic opportunities and threats
- Establish clear objectives and key results (OKRs) that align with the organization's strategic priorities and monitor progress towards achieving these goals
- Facilitate strategic discussions with key stakeholders, including executives, board members, and department heads, to ensure alignment and buy-in for strategic initiatives
- Establish performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track progress against strategic objectives and provide regular updates to senior leadership and other stakeholders
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics that may impact the organization's strategic direction
What we’re looking for:
- 8+ years experience in strategic planning, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization, with a strong track record of developing and implementing successful strategies
- Experience with program evaluation, impact assessment, and outcome measurement
- Knowledge of strategic planning frameworks, tools, and methodologies specific to nonprofits
- Knowledge of nonprofit governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies and donor relations in the nonprofit sector
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as business, HR, finance, or economics
