Position Overview
The People & Culture Director plays a vital role in shaping and maintaining a healthy, Christ-centered culture across our teams. This leader ensures that every staff member and volunteer experiences spiritual care, leadership development, and alignment with Greater IMPACT Church’s mission and values.
This role blends human resources principles with ministry leadership—focusing on people development, volunteer engagement, team health, and organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion Culture: Foster a thriving, faith-filled environment where staff and volunteers feel valued, equipped, and supported.
- Onboarding & Orientation: Lead the onboarding process for new staff and volunteers, ensuring a smooth and inspiring introduction to Greater IMPACT’s mission, values, and systems.
- Team Development: Create and implement initiatives that promote personal growth, leadership development, and spiritual formation among team members.
- Care & Engagement: Provide care, encouragement, and accountability to team members—helping them grow both professionally and spiritually.
- Volunteer Management: Support ministry leaders in volunteer recruitment, placement, and retention efforts to build strong, sustainable teams.
- Organizational Health: Collaborate with church leadership to assess and improve team morale, communication, and alignment.
- Compliance & Processes: Help maintain volunteer records, background checks, and training documentation to ensure safety and excellence.
- Event Support: Participate in team trainings, staff gatherings, and Sunday Night Worship Experiences (mandatory).
Qualifications
- A growing and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
- A heart for people and a passion for healthy ministry culture.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Prior experience in HR, team leadership, ministry leadership, or people development preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Reliable internet connection for virtual meetings and communication.
Commitment & Schedule
- Volunteer Role with flexible hours.
- Must attend Sunday Night Worship Experiences (8:30 PM – 10:30 PM EST).
- Occasional virtual team meetings and planning sessions as scheduled.
