    Role Summary:

    The Volunteer Coordinator is a vital part of Elijah S. Mercy Ministries, responsible for recruiting, on-boarding, scheduling, and supporting volunteers across all ministry areas. This role ensures volunteers are well-equipped, motivated, and connected, fostering a positive and productive environment where everyone can serve effectively and grow spiritually.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruit and welcome new volunteers, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
    • Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments to meet ministry needs.
    • Communicate regularly with volunteers to provide updates, encouragement, and training opportunities.
    • Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and contact information.
    • Collaborate with ministry leaders to identify volunteer needs and develop role descriptions.
    • Organize volunteer appreciation and development events.
    • Serve as a point of contact and support for volunteers, addressing questions and concerns.
