Role Summary
Advances domestic violence policy efforts, advocacy campaigns, and legislative engagement to support survivor safety and systemic change.
Key Responsibilities
- Research DV-related legislation and policy updates
- Assist in drafting advocacy letters, briefs, and position statements
- Support civic education workshops for survivors
- Help organize advocacy days, civic partnerships, and town halls
- Track policy trends impacting survivors in Illinois and nationally
Qualifications
- Experience in policy, advocacy, government, or civic engagement
- Strong writing and research skills
- Trauma-informed understanding of survivor rights and safety
- Ability to maintain professional neutrality and confidentiality
