    Fundraiser Specialist

The Volunteer Fundraiser Specialist will play a pivotal role in furthering the mission of House of Mercy and Grace by designing, planning, and executing fundraising strategies and events. This position is exclusively focused on securing resources to advance the organization’s goals. Working in close collaboration with the Board of Directors and fellow volunteers, the specialist will originate and present creative fundraising concepts for board approval, develop detailed strategic plans for each event, and oversee the execution and evaluation of fundraising initiatives. This volunteer role is essential to expanding organizational visibility, building community relationships, and generating vital resources.

    This opportunity requires a minimum 12-month commitment and offers meaningful engagement for individuals seeking to make a substantial impact within the nonprofit sector.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and propose innovative fundraising initiatives tailored to the mission and needs of House of Mercy and Grace.
    • Prepare detailed event proposals for consideration and approval by the Board of Directors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards.
    • Design comprehensive strategic plans for approved events, addressing timelines, budgeting, resource management, promotional strategies, logistics, and volunteer engagement.
    • Direct and manage all aspects of fundraising events, from planning to execution to post-event evaluation, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to organizational values.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, community partners, and volunteers to enhance engagement and maximize fundraising outcomes.
    • Promote awareness of House of Mercy and Grace’s mission, achievements, and financial needs through targeted outreach and communication initiatives.
    • Maintain accurate records of fundraising activities, donor engagement, sponsorships, and event performance; provide timely and transparent updates to the Board of Directors.
    • Draft high-quality written content for proposals, reports, invitations, acknowledgments, and promotional materials; represent the organization with professionalism at all events and public engagements.
    • Collaborate proactively with the Board, staff, and volunteers to ensure seamless coordination of resources, messaging, and event support.
    • Uphold the commitment to a 12-month period of volunteer service, actively participating in all assigned and scheduled fundraising activities and meetings.
