    About Us

International Child Advancement (ICA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved children and orphans to become self-sufficient through education, economic empowerment, and mentorship. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and thrive. Our programs serve youth in Buffalo, NY, and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), helping them access education and resources to break the cycle of poverty. Candidate must be located in Buffalo, NY.

    Position Overview

International Child Advancement (ICA) is seeking a Volunteer Social Innovation Program Coordinator to support the growth and implementation of our youth-focused programs in Buffalo. This role is perfect for someone passionate about community impact and youth empowerment who enjoys organizing projects, building partnerships, and helping bring ideas to life. You’ll help coordinate new and existing initiatives and assist with launching new efforts that promote education, self-sufficiency, and opportunity for underserved youth.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Program Coordination: Support and manage the day-to-day implementation of ICA’s local programs.
    • Program Development: Help execute and refine new initiatives that strengthen educational and career pathways for Buffalo’s youth.
    • Community Partnerships: Collaborate with schools, nonprofits, sponsors, and local organizations to enhance program reach and impact.

    What You’ll Gain

    • Practical experience supporting nonprofit programs that create tangible community impact.
    • Opportunities to grow your skills in project coordination, partnership building, and community engagement.
    • Exposure to the inner workings of nonprofit operations and social impact work.
    • The satisfaction of helping empower underserved youth in Buffalo to reach their full potential.

    Volunteering Commitment

Flexible, approximately 4-6 hours per month (remote with occasional local activities).

This is a volunteer position with opportunities for mentorship, professional growth, and recognition within ICA’s community.

    Why Volunteer with ICA

At ICA, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team working to empower, educate, and elevate youth. Your efforts will directly support programs that open doors to education and opportunity—creating a brighter future for children who need it most.
