    Description

SafePlace International (SPI) is a global nonprofit working across 30+ countries to support marginalized communities through leadership training, humanitarian response, and grassroots empowerment. Our graduates are creating food programs, emergency medical support, shelter initiatives, and advocacy projects in regions where resources are scarce and hope is hard-won.

We are growing fast, and we’re looking for passionate communication volunteers to help the world see what’s possible when communities lead their own transformation.

    What You’ll Do

As a Communications Support Team Member, you’ll help expand SPI’s visibility and storytelling impact by:

    • Identifying media outlets, influencers, podcasts, newsletters, and platforms aligned with our mission
    • Supporting content creation, social posts, short articles, impact stories, campaign messaging, and visual collateral
    • Recommending website and social media updates to improve clarity, engagement, and reach
    • Reaching out to PR firms, media organizations, and communication networks to build pro bono partnerships
    • Helping track outreach, opportunities, and communication pipelines

    Who We’re Looking For

You might be a great fit if you:

    • Love storytelling, communications, media, or digital content
    • Have experience (or interest) in social media, marketing, PR, journalism, or design
    • Enjoy research, outreach, and creative collaboration
    • Care about equity, dignity, and community-led change
