About Us: YES 2 YOU is a 501c3 nonprofit created to empower youth and to help build their imaginations and creative minds, develop social skills, and create their authentic voice. Our aim is to combine instructor-led classes and hands-on learning activities with community-centered partnerships, and interactive STEM & STEAM learning all while identifying and potentially eliminating barriers.

Position Description: As a Volunteer Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in helping us secure funding for our projects and programs by researching potential grant opportunities and crafting persuasive grant proposals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and identifying potential grant opportunities that align with our organization's mission and goals.
• Writing and editing grant proposals, ensuring they are compelling, accurate, and meet all requirements.
• Collaborating with our team to gather necessary information and data for grant applications.
• Tracking deadlines and submitting grant proposals in a timely manner.
• Maintaining records of grant applications, awards, and reporting requirements.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Strong research skills and the ability to identify relevant grant opportunities.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience with grant writing or proposal writing is preferred but not required.
• Commitment to the mission and values of YES 2 YOU.

Time Commitment: We are seeking volunteers who can provide 5-10 hours per week on average of volunteer time (as needed) to support our efforts.
