Summary:
The Volunteer Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and callers at Stanly Community Christian Ministry (SCCM). This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, supporting administrative functions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. The receptionist assists with visitor management, communication, and appointment scheduling, while maintaining security protocols and an organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greeting and Assisting Visitors:
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
- Answer queries and direct visitors to the appropriate staff or department.
- Answering Calls:
- Manage incoming phone calls and provide accurate information about the ministry and services.
- Transfer calls to the appropriate staff when necessary.
- Scheduling Appointments:
- Schedule client appointments after confirming that their paperwork is up to date.
- Coordinate appointment details with staff to ensure smooth scheduling.
- Maintaining Records:
- Manage and organize paperwork, ensuring client documents are current.
- Update databases and maintain accurate records of visitor logs, appointments, and relevant paperwork.
- Providing Information:
- Offer detailed information about SCCM’s programs, services, and resources to both visitors and callers.
- Guide visitors or callers appropriately to ensure they receive the help or support they need.
- Front Desk Operations:
- Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient front desk area.
- Support communication between departments and help with additional office duties as needed.

- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of calls and visitors.
- Basic computer skills for managing records and scheduling appointments.

- Fridays: 09:00 to 13:00 EST
- Wednesdays: 12:30 to 16:00 EST
