    Description

    As the leadership body of Coastlove, the board is responsible for:

    • Strategic and organizational planning
    • Ensuring strong oversight and financial management
    • Fundraising and resource development
    • Monitor and add value to Coastlove programs and services
    • Enhancing Coastlove's mission and introducing the organization to a broader public.

    EXPECTATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL BOARD MEMBERS:

    Each board member is expected to:

    • Know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs
    • Serve as active ambassadors for the organization and engage in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for Coastlove to advance its mission
    • Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop action to achieve Coastlove's mission
    • Assist in building committees such as fundraising and leadership
    • Fundraising
    • Help identify personal connections that can benefit the organization’s fundraising and reputational standing and can influence change
    • Prepare for, attend, and take notes in board meetings
    • Assist in managing annual reviews and reporting
