    Mission

    Job brief

    The Administrative Coordinator works with the President to provide overall administrative and project support and acts as a liaison to the Board.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with the Board Chair to coordinate monthly board meetings, including invitations, reminders, and agendas.
    • Coordinate quarterly in-person meetings, including space reservation and catering.
    • Provide meeting minutes to all board members in a timely fashion.
    • Maintain the LLN event and meetings calendar.
    • Coordinate physical mail campaigns.
    • Track board members and advisory council’s demographic information for grant writing purposes.
    • Complete annual state reporting.
    • Complete other assigned administrative tasks as needed.

    • Desire and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives.
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Ability to learn and anticipate the needs of the organization.
    • Ability to communicate with others and cultivate relationships on behalf of the President and Board.
    • Ability to be self-directed, take ownership, and see projects to completion in a timely manner.
    • Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
    • Proficient with Google Docs, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, and Adobe.

    Board Terms - Time Commitment

    Six-to-eight-hours a week. LLN Board members will serve a two-year term to be eligible for re-appointment for two additional terms. Board meetings will be held quarterly, and board members are expected to attend each meeting. Board members are expected to read board agendas in advance of board meetings and come prepared to ask questions and participate in discussions. They are also expected to attend and provide support for all LLN in-person awareness events.

    Compensation

    Except for selected officers, service on LLN’s Board of Directors is without remuneration and voluntary, except for travel, and accommodation costs in relation to Board Members’ duties.
