    Description

    Treasurer, Board of Directors

    We are seeking a talented and experienced financial professional to join the Anything Helps Board of Directors as our new Treasurer. This is a vital role to our non-profit; The Treasurer helps sustain the financial future of our programs through sound financial leadership and guidance.

    Our organization has experienced tremendous growth, expanding from a $200,000 annual budget to $1.5 million in just one fiscal year. You will work closely with our former Treasurer, who is becoming our accountant to handle our day-to-day financial operations and the reconciling of our books.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reviewing and improving our internal controls.
    • Presenting clear financial reports for the board during monthly meetings.
    • Ensuring our organization's compliance with all legal and regulatory financial requirements.
    • Providing strategic financial guidance as we continue to scale our operations.

    Your obligations will mainly consist of reviewing reports, making strategic recommendations, and attending the standard monthly board meeting and a possible board retreat that has yet to be scheduled.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Strong financial background
    • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
    • An understanding of non-profit accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, or the willingness to develop it.
    • The ability to pass a criminal background check
    • Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-financial individuals.

    • Past board experience
    • Experience with rapidly growing organizations
