Volunteer Frontend Developer (Tailwind / Django)

Borrow’d (borrowd.org) is an open-source project built by volunteers who believe in the power of community. We’re designing a simple, mobile-friendly web app that lets small groups of friends, neighbors, and coworkers share things easily and responsibly.

We’re looking for a Frontend Developer to help implement our UX designs and bring the interface to life in a clean, accessible way.

What you’ll do

• Build out ~10 responsive screens using TailwindCSS, DaisyUI components, and Django templates
• Use a consistent component library to speed up development and keep the app lightweight
• Collaborate with our UX and Design leads to ensure a smooth, modern user experience
• Work asynchronously with a small, values-aligned team

(This role is focused on HTML/CSS and template-level UI implementation rather than heavy JavaScript or SPA frameworks.)

What you’ll bring

• Experience building web frontends with TailwindCSS and lightweight templating (e.g., Jinja / Django
• Comfort working from Figma handoffs and collaborating with designers
• Attention to detail, appreciation for clean and accessible UI, and enthusiasm for our mission
