    Description

    North East Wake Backpack Buddies is a 100% volunteer-run 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps provide weekend meals to children facing food insecurity in North East Wake County (Wake Forest, Rolesville, North Raleigh, Knightdale and Zebulon). We are looking for an individual to join our Board who can be responsible for communicating weekly with schools to determine weekly bag numbers. Board members also assist with running the program by organizing food packing events, attending special events and assisting with strategic direction and planning. The Board meets on the first Tuesday evening of the month to plan, discuss, and organize all aspects of the organization. Board members hold the position for a 3 year term.
