    Description

    Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers Needed

    Veterans share a bond that runs deep - and that connection can bring incredible comfort to fellow service members in their final stage of life. Compassus Hospice is seeking veteran volunteers to visit with veteran patients, offering companionship, recognition, and a sense of brotherhood or sisterhood that only another veteran can provide.

    Veteran volunteers can help by:

    • Sharing stories and encouraging life review
    • Taking part in recognition events such as pinning ceremonies or Veterans Day celebrations
    • Supporting families by improving communication and offering respite for caregivers
    • Assisting patients in connecting with veteran benefits or replacing lost medals
    • Providing friendly visits, reading, and a listening ear

    By serving as a Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer, you bring dignity, understanding, and honor to fellow service members - reminding them that their sacrifice and service will never be forgotten.
