    Companionship Volunteer at Care360 Hospice

    Hello, I'm Adreana, the Volunteer Coordinator at Care360 Hospice.

    At Care360 Hospice, we are dedicated to providing compassionate end-of-life care to our patients and their families. Our team of healthcare professionals and volunteers work together to offer comfort, dignity, and support during this important phase of life.

    Becoming a hospice volunteer is a deeply rewarding experience that allows you to provide comfort, support, and companionship to individuals facing end-of-life care. It gives you the opportunity to make a difference in someone's final days by offering emotional support, celebrating milestones, or simply being there to listen. By volunteering your time and compassion, you can bring moments of joy and solace to both patients and their loved ones during one of life's most difficult stages.

    What does hospice volunteering look like:

    Providing companionship and an empathetic presence

    Watching tv

    Reading books, magazines, historical articles

    Helping with patient’s hobbies - bingo, arts & crafts, playing cards, puzzles, word searches, chess

    Listening to music

    Listening to patient’s personal stories

    Attending Veteran pinning's and birthdays

    Helping with Bereavement mailings

    Creating visual legacy boards

    Holding hands

    Praying

    Talking sports

    Helping w/ hospice events - Honor Flight and hospice 101 educations

    Qualifications for being a hospice volunteer:

    Compassionate, empathetic, kind hearted, and understanding

    Open minded, non-judgmental, and honest

    Believe that you will make a difference in someone’s life

    Communication and listening skills

    Flexible hours around your schedule

    We service NWO - Toledo, Sylvania, Holland, Oregon, Northwood, Point Place, Maumee, Perrysburg, Bowling Green, Waterville, Whitehouse, Napoleon, Findlay, and Point Place. Volunteers drive within their comfort zone.
