Sister Schools is seeking a Board Member with fundraising experience to join our engaged and growing Board of Directors. This is a hands-on governance role for someone who believes in the power of education and relationships to drive social change and who is excited to actively support fundraising and resource development.
As a Board Member, you will:
- Actively participate in fundraising by:
- Cultivating and stewarding donors
- Leveraging your networks to support fundraising efforts
- Partner with the Executive Director to advance fundraising strategy and donor engagement
- Serve as an ambassador for Sister Schools in the community
- Participate in strategic planning, financial oversight, and governance
- Attend bimonthly board meetings and serve on at least one committee
We’re especially interested in candidates who bring:
- Experience in fundraising, development, sales, or relationship-based revenue generation
- Comfort asking for support and building authentic donor relationships
- A strong belief in education equity and cross-cultural engagement
- Prior nonprofit board experience (helpful but not required)
- Professional experience in philanthropy, business development, marketing, finance, or related fields (helpful but not required)
