    Description

Lunar New Year Lower Meadow Activity Guide

Join Garden staff in celebrating Lunar New Year as part of our vibrant festivities! Set among winter blooms and lush greenery, the Lower Meadow offers a joyful space to welcome the Year of the Horse and honor Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean traditions. Also known as the Spring Festival, Lunar New Year celebrates the transition from one zodiac sign to the next and symbolizes renewal, prosperity, and a flourishing year ahead.

Volunteers in the Lower Meadow will support guests by encouraging participation, providing directions, and assisting with activities. This area will feature interactive games such as Jegichagi (a Korean "hacky sack" game) and Yutnori (a traditional Korean board game), a wishing tree activity, and a festive photo opportunity.
