    EPU's Fiesta de los Ninos - Fundraising Event

    We’re excited to invite you to join us as a volunteer for EPU’s 33rd Annual Fiesta de los Niños fundraising celebration! This signature event brings our community together to uplift the children and families we proudly serve, and we need dedicated volunteers like you to help make it all possible.

    At EPU, our mission is to guide and strengthen families and children with unique needs through early intervention and supportive services that cultivate hope and resilience.

    We are driven by a powerful vision: that children grow up in families where their unique needs are met and parents feel confident in their ability to support them.

    Volunteers are essential to bringing this mission and vision to life. Whether greeting guests, supporting activities, or helping behind the scenes, your enthusiasm and commitment directly shape the success of our event. Your service not only creates a welcoming, joyful experience, and it strengthens our community and helps ensure EPU can continue providing life-changing support to children and families.

    Below, you’ll find all available volunteer roles, event details, and the link to sign up. We truly appreciate your time, energy, and heart — and we can’t wait to have you on our team for this incredible event!

    Set-Up Volunteer Opportunities

    Friday Morning – May 15th (8:00am to 2:00pm) - 15 volunteers needed

    Assist with:

    • Setting up tables and chairs
    • Assembling pop‑up canopies
    • Preparing various event stations

    Saturday Morning – May 16th (8:00am to 2:00pm) - 20 volunteers needed

    Assist with:

    • Unload supply truck carrying silent auction items and centerpieces
    • Assembling table centerpieces
    • Setting up silent auction items
    • Preparing stations
    • Setting up guest registration

    These shifts are great for volunteers of all ages, including those under 18 (with a chaperone).

    Evening Volunteer Roles & Descriptions - Saturday, May 16th

    4:30 PM – 8:30 PM — Guest Registration / Check‑In - 6 volunteers needed

    Welcome guests as they arrive, locate registration information, assist with check‑in, and provide event materials or directions. Laptops will be used, and volunteers with computer or Excel experience are strongly encouraged to sign up. A friendly, tech‑comfortable demeanor is ideal for this role.

    4:30 PM – 8:30 PM — Parking Attendant & Guest Registration Assistance - 4 volunteers needed

    Guide guests to appropriate parking areas, support traffic flow, and assist the registration team during peak times.

    4:30 PM – 8:30 PM — Guest Greeters & Table Ushers - 4 volunteers needed

    Warmly welcome guests, answer general event questions, and help attendees find their assigned seating.

    4:30 PM – 11:00 PM — Monetary Assistant - 8 volunteers needed

    Assist the finance team with donation processing and transaction‑related tasks. This role includes cash handling and credit card transactions. Volunteers with banking, cashier, or point‑of‑sale experience are strongly encouraged to sign up. Accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism are essential.

    4:30 PM – 12:00 AM — Silent Auction Monitors - 10 volunteers needed

    Oversee silent auction tables, maintain organization, assist bidders, and provide auction information. Help ensure items remain secure throughout the event.

    4:30 PM – 12:00 AM — Volunteer Registration & Support - 2 volunteers needed

    Check in volunteers as they arrive, distribute materials, and provide ongoing support to the volunteer team.

    4:30 PM – 12:00 AM — Event Maintenance & Runner - 2 volunteers needed

    Assist with general event upkeep by maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, collecting trash, and completing staff‑assigned tasks or errands.

    10:00 PM – 12:00 AM — Clean-Up & Truck Loading - 4 volunteers needed

    Help break down event spaces, pack materials, and load items onto the truck for transport back to EPU.

    Important Information

    • Evening volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Volunteers under 18 are encouraged to help with Friday or Saturday morning set‑up.
    • All volunteers under 18 must have a chaperone or guardian present at all times.
    • All evening event volunteers will receive a complimentary lunch meal as a thank‑you for their support.
