    Description

Serve Nutritious Meals to Unhoused Women

A home-cooked meal is one of the most important needs in our Day Center, and is often the way that unhoused folks new to the area find out about DWC and our services.

Downtown Women's Center's Kitchen served over 116, 747 meals in 2023 alone: our incredible Kitchen team serves three nutritious meals seven days a week and offers an important space for women and gender diverse individuals to connect and share a meal with each other.

    What to expect:

    • Help with meal preparation (e.g. chopping and measuring)
    • Keep the kitchen clean and organized (e.g. wiping counters, organizing the food pantry and cabinets)
    • Serving our delicious meals to participants

    What's Required:

    • Must be over age 18
    • Complete New Volunteer Orientation
    • Please do not wear open-toed shoes, heels, shorts, crop tops, or sleeveless shirts
