Title: Volunteer Social Media & Digital Engagement Coordinator

    Organization: Caregiver OneCall

    Location: Remote

Time Commitment: 5 to 8 hours per week (flexible)

    About Caregiver OneCall

Caregiver OneCall is a nonprofit providing free, real-time emotional support, education, and resources for family caregivers. Our mission is simple: no caregiver should ever feel alone, especially at 2 AM.

    Role Overview

We are seeking a highly self-directed Volunteer Social Media & Digital Engagement Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who can work independently, understands mission-driven storytelling, and takes initiative without needing content to be provided.

The volunteer in this role will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing Caregiver OneCall’s social media presence in alignment with our mission and values.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Independently create and manage social media content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
    • Research caregiver-related topics, trends, and timely conversations to inform content
    • Develop original educational, awareness, and engagement-focused posts
    • Identify and engage potential collaborators, partners, and aligned organizations
    • Monitor platform trends and adjust content strategy accordingly
    • Schedule posts using appropriate social media management tools
    • Monitor comments and messages and flag items needing organizational follow-up
    • Maintain a consistent brand voice that is respectful, informative, and human
    • Design and manage our newsletters and campaign messaging

    Skills and Experience

    • Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts independently
    • Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately
    • Comfort researching data, trends, and credible caregiving information
    • Ability to work proactively and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
    • Familiarity with social media scheduling and design tools (Canva, Buffer, etc.)
    • Interest in caregiving, health equity, or community-based work

    What We Are Looking For

    • Someone who takes initiative and ownership
    • A volunteer who understands that this role requires consistency and accountability
    • Comfort making content decisions aligned with mission rather than waiting for direction
    • Willingness to learn our work and accurately represent our services

    What You Will Gain

    • Hands-on leadership experience in nonprofit digital engagement
    • Opportunity to build or expand a mission-driven portfolio
    • Direct impact on caregiver awareness and support
    • Letter of recommendation available after sustained commitment
