As a Fundraising Volunteer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our magazine continues to thrive and reach more young readers.
Based in DuPage County, IL - much of the work can be remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning Fundraising Activities: Collaborate with the fundraising committee to brainstorm, plan, and implement innovative and engaging fundraising events and campaigns.
- Grant Writing: Assist in researching potential grant opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and managing the submission process.
- Community Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
- Campaign Management: Help track the progress of fundraising initiatives, manage budgets, and report on outcomes.
- Marketing and Promotion: Work with the marketing team to promote fundraising activities through social media, newsletters, and other channels.
- Information Management: Includes maintaining fundraising databases, scheduling meetings, and preparing materials.
Qualifications:
- Passion for supporting teens who identify as girls and amplifying their voices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Creativity and enthusiasm for planning and executing fundraising events.
- Basic understanding of grant writing and fundraising principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
