    Description

Are you a talented Web Developer driven by the desire to use your technical skills for a higher purpose? Do you believe a modern, effective digital presence is key to reaching people with the Gospel? Greater IMPACT Church is seeking a dedicated Web Developer (Volunteer) to be the architect behind our online ministry, directly enabling us to advance our mission to Connect, Engage, and Serve a growing global audience.

    What You'll Do:

    • Front-End Development & UX: Design, develop, and maintain the user-facing features of our main website, ensuring a highly intuitive, responsive, and engaging user experience (UX) across all devices.
    • Feature Implementation: Implement new website features and integrations (e.g., event registration forms, custom donation pages, video archives) using clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
    • Performance & SEO: Optimize website performance (speed, load times) and ensure the platform adheres to modern SEO best practices to maximize digital outreach and accessibility.
    • Platform Maintenance: Assist with troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining the stability and security of our existing Content Management System (CMS), likely WordPress, Squarespace, or similar.
    • Digital Collaboration: Work closely with the Lead Pastor, Communications Team, and other ministry leaders to translate their vision and content into effective digital solutions.

    What We're Looking For:

    • Proven Web Development Skills: Demonstrated ability to create clean, responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Familiarity with a popular Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress or Squarespace is highly desirable.
    • Self-Management & Initiative: Highly self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently to manage project deadlines in a remote volunteer capacity.
    • Excellent Communication: The ability to represent the organization professionally and effectively communicate technical concepts and project progress to non-technical ministry leaders.
    • Heart for Ministry: A proactive desire to leverage technical skills to advance Kingdom work and a genuine commitment to seeing lives impacted through the Gospel.
