    Description

Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist (Remote/Unpaid Volunteer):

Join Empowered Futures as a Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist and help shape the future for emerging adults as they transition into adulthood. We are a forward-thinking nonprofit committed to building confident, emotionally intelligent, and resourceful young adults through self-empowerment, mentorship, and community support.

As our Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist, you will be the behind-the-scenes driver of the systems, processes, and data that power our recruitment function. Supporting the Talent Acquisition Lead and a team of 15+ Talent Acquisition Specialists, you’ll help build and maintain scalable workflows, track key hiring metrics, and enable consistent execution across the full recruitment lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys optimizing systems, documenting processes, and enabling others through structured tools and training. Your work will not only improve day-to-day efficiency, but also strengthen team onboarding, reduce knowledge gaps, and support long-term continuity—making this role a vital contributor to succession planning and organizational growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and optimize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to support efficient, scalable recruitment workflows
    • Standardize recruiting SOPs, templates, and documentation to ensure consistency across the TA team
    • Track and report on key talent acquisition metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, funnel conversion rates, pipeline health)
    • Design and maintain onboarding materials for new TA Specialists and support their role-specific onboarding
    • Facilitate systems training and process walkthroughs to ensure TA Specialists are equipped and confident
    • Support continuous enablement by updating training guides, FAQs, and process documentation as needed
    • Identify process gaps or inefficiencies and propose practical, scalable improvements
    • Collaborate with People Operations to ensure seamless post-offer handoffs and onboarding transitions
    • Conduct regular audits of job postings, candidate records, and workflow usage to ensure data accuracy and process compliance
    • Maintain a centralized knowledge base for Talent Acquisition (e.g., process guides, role FAQs, system tips)
    • Act as a point of contact for system-related troubleshooting or optimization feedback from TA Specialists
    • Assist with special projects or initiatives that enhance TA infrastructure and candidate experience

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in recruiting coordination, HR operations, or administrative support
    • Education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)
    • Proficiency with data tools such as Excel, Google Sheets; experience with Notion is a plus
    • Strong command of Google Workspace and digital collaboration platforms
    • Excellent skills in documentation, process design, and delivering systems training
    • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities
    • Effective communicator and collaborator across remote, cross-functional teams
    • Proactive self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and follows through on priorities
    • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving, and fully remote volunteer environment
    • Genuine passion for youth empowerment, mentorship, and scalable social impact systems

    Benefits:

    • Empowering emerging adults with their growth and development
    • Innovating the movement towards mental wellness
    • Collaboration with multidisciplinary senior board members
    • Growing your professional network
    • Room for advancement and growth within the organization

Join our team and make a meaningful impact on the lives of young adults while shaping a brighter future for mental health and well-being. Together, we can inspire hope and create lasting change. Apply now!

This is a part-time and unpaid volunteer position (5-8 hours a week)
