Scriptwriter / Storyboard Volunteer

We will like to produce short motion explainers, micro-reels, audio dramas and radio spots. We need a writer who can turn SRHR topics into concise, culturally resonant scripts and simple storyboards co-created with girls’ club representatives.

Task description

• Facilitate short ideation sessions with girls’ club reps; draft briefs.
• Write scripts for 60–90s explainers, 15–30s reels and 30–60s radio spots.
• Draft scenes for 5–7 minute micro-dramas (audio).
• Create beat boards/shot lists; collaborate with animator on visual flow.
• Ensure consent-safe, stigma-aware language; integrate user-test feedback.

Diploma/Undergraduate in Communications, Creative Writing, Theatre/Drama, Film/Media or related (or equivalent portfolio). Scriptwriting, story structure, behaviour-change communication, visual storytelling. Writing samples (short scripts, ads, reels, stage/audio pieces). Experience co-creating with non-technical youth is an asset.

• Clear, concise writing; character/dialogue; outline-to-draft discipline.
• Basic storyboard tools (Figma/Canva/PowerPoint) or script tools (Celtx/WriterDuet).
• Receptive to user testing and sensitivity edits; organized file management.
