Thrift Shop Volunteer

The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) San Diego is looking for committed volunteers to work Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (excluding holidays) from 9:30 am-1:30 pm in our thrift shop located on Naval Base San Diego. Our Thrift Shop Volunteers are responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our active duty and retired military families.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect, sort and price donated items
• Arrange items in the sales area
• Check clients out using an electronic payment system
• Maintain accurate sales records
• Must be available for entire 9:30 am-1:30 pm shift

QUALIFICATIONS

• Commit to the team for a minimum of 6 months
• Complete NMCRS Orientation and Training
• Be able to work collaboratively with a variety of personalities, including clients and fellow volunteers
• Ability to lift 20 lbs

3 shifts available:

• Monday: 09:30 to 13:30 PST
• Wednesday: 09:30 to 13:30 PST
• Friday: 09:30 to 13:30 PST
