    Tennis Coach: Experienced or Aspiring!

    Are you a new or aspiring tennis coach looking to grow your skills, confidence, and impact on the court?

    You’re invited to a special learning experience in the Washington, DC area — an opportunity to train alongside and learn directly from a Division 1 college player and coach who understands what it takes to perform, teach, and lead at the highest level of the game.

    This hands-on session is designed for:

    • New coaches building their foundation
    • Aspiring coaches exploring the profession
    • Former players ready to transition into coaching
    • Anyone passionate about developing athletes the right way

    What you’ll gain:

    • Player development strategies you can apply immediately
    • Guidance on structuring effective practices
    • Insights into leadership, communication, and coaching mindset

    This is an important dual role as our coaches also provide mentorship to our student-athletes during program hours. Some Tennis experience required but will train to be a coach!

    Qualifications:

    • Strong desire to work with tennis players and be a positive role model
    • Ability to execute and facilitate on-court programming for children or adults
    • Enthusiastic attitude
    • Tennis playing experience and familiarity with the game is preferred
    • We'll train you!
    • Teaching and/or coaching experience is a plus
    • Collaborate with fellow instructors and volunteers
    • Strong communications and collaborative skills
    • Must pass background check and complete 30 minute online coaching course

    Requirements:

    • Build and maintain a fun, inclusive, safe and welcoming environment for all participants, on court and off
    • Provide program session instruction
    • Execute Love Set Match Coach Core curriculum and facilitate tennis play for participants as directed by program director
    • Lead by example and bring energy and enthusiasm to all on-court session activities
    • Ensure program equipment is properly maintained, set up before each session and put away
    • Be a team player
    • Assist with feedback and program assessments with students, team members and leadership
