    Description

Several Volunteer Roles: Content, Admin, and Marketing Specialists

Adopt A Destiny is revamping its operations and needs passionate volunteers to fill specialist roles. Leverage your know-how to impact our revised mission: supporting low-income under-served college students and women overcoming hardships while expanding community kindness initiatives (Destiny Difference).

These are purely voluntary positions with no monetary compensation, but they offer invaluable experience, networking opportunities, and the profound satisfaction of supporting a powerful mission. We're hiring for the following roles:

Content & Correspondence Writers (1-2 Positions)

About You: You have a passion for writing, storytelling, and clear communication. You are meticulous, professional, and can adapt your tone for both engaging blog posts and formal correspondence. You thrive on connecting with people and organizations through the written word.

Qualifications: While formal experience is not required, applicants must be able to take a writing test or submit professional writing samples (e.g., blog posts, formal letters) if selected for an interview.

    What You'll Do:

      • Blog Management: Write compelling blog posts detailing our programs, impact, and inspirational stories. Familiarity with WordPress is a plus though not required.
      • Correspondence: Manage all written communication with potential collaborators, partners, and stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely outreach and follow-up.
      • Content Support: Assist with creating copy for social media posts and awareness campaigns.

Social Media & Outreach Creators (1-2 Positions)

About You: You are fluent in the language of social media, constantly generating creative ideas for engaging content across multiple platforms.

Qualifications: Formal professional experience is not required, but a strong portfolio of engaging, self-created content is highly desirable.

    What You'll Do:

      • Content Strategy & Posting: Create, schedule, and post regular content across our social media channels (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) to promote our initiatives and mission.
      • Campaign Management: Develop and execute mini-campaigns to drive awareness and engagement.
      • Online Community: Monitor comments and messages to maintain a positive and active online community.

    SEO Associate

About You: You are a data-driven individual with experience in digital advertising and search engine optimization. You understand how to leverage online tools to increase visibility and attract key audiences (volunteers, donors, students). Experience managing the Google Ad Grant is a major asset.

Qualifications: Familiarity with basic SEO principles. Experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Ubersuggest, SEMrush) is a plus, but a strong willingness to learn is essential.

What You'll Do: Optimize Adopt A Destiny’s long-term organic visibility:

      • Keyword Research: Conduct research to identify relevant, high-value keywords related to our mission (e.g., non-profit grants, student support, volunteer opportunities).
      • On-Page SEO: Optimize website pages and blog content (titles, meta descriptions, headings, image tags) to improve search engine rankings.
      • Technical SEO Support: Assist the Senior Marketing Manager with basic technical checks (site speed, mobile optimization) and link-building outreach efforts.
      • Performance Tracking: Monitor organic search performance using tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and provide monthly reports on trends.
      • Google Ad Grant Management: Oversee, optimize, and report on the performance of the Google Ad Grant account to maximize reach and visibility.

    SEM Associate

About You:You are results-driven and understand how paid digital advertising (PPC) can drive immediate, targeted action. You are analytical, comfortable working with campaign budgets, and ideally have experience with the Google Ad Grant program.

Qualifications: Experience managing PPC campaigns (Google Ads is mandatory due to the Google Ad Grant). Familiarity with targeting, bidding strategies, and conversion tracking.

What You'll Do: Execute and manage immediate traffic and conversion goals:

      • Campaign Management: Manage and optimize campaigns within the Google Ad Grant account (and potentially small paid campaigns) to drive specific actions (donations, sign-ups, volunteer applications).
      • Ad Copy & Testing: Write and test compelling ad copy and extensions to maximize click-through rates (CTR).
      • Performance Reporting: Monitor campaign performance, track conversion rates, and provide actionable insights to the Senior Marketing Manager regarding immediate campaign results.
      • Landing Page Alignment: Work with the content team to ensure landing pages are optimized for paid traffic to improve Quality Score and reduce ad spend.

Community Awareness Advocates (Must be located in or near New York)

About You: You are an energetic, outgoing "people person" who loves connecting with others face-to-face. You are passionate about spreading a positive message and are comfortable being an on-the-ground ambassador for Adopt A Destiny.

Qualifications: Formal professional experience is not required. Must be enthusiastic and comfortable being an on-the-ground ambassador.

    What You'll Do:

      • Local Outreach: Act as a representative for Adopt A Destiny in your local area.
      • Destiny Difference Champion: Organize and execute "random acts of kindness" initiatives (like distributing "hope notes") to spread awareness and positivity in the community.
      • Information Sharing: Distribute flyers, speak to local groups, and help organize local, small-scale awareness events.

    Video Content & YouTube Strategist

About You: You are a visual storyteller who believes that a single video can change a life. You understand how to bridge the gap between raw footage and a compelling narrative. You are technically proficient in YouTube optimization but also have the "Caregiver" heart to coach others in capturing authentic moments that reflect our mission’s integrity.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: Proven experience managing and growing YouTube channels (including SEO, custom thumbnails, and analytics).
    • Required: Proficiency in video editing (repurposing long-form content into Reels, Shorts, and website clips).
    • Desired: Ability to provide creative direction and simple "how-to" coaching for non-technical team members.

What You’ll Do: You will serve as our primary visual narrator, ensuring our "Caregiver Promise" is visible to the world.

    • YouTube Channel Mastery: Take full ownership of the Adopt A Destiny YouTube channel. You will upload, optimize, and organize our video library to drive views, engagement, and donor trust.
    • Multimedia Asset Curation: Audit our Google Drive archives to identify high-impact footage. You will edit and curate these assets for use on our website and social media platforms.
    • Creative Direction for Outreach: Act as the "Producer" for our on-the-ground team. You will recommend specific video themes (e.g., Scholar Spotlights, Community Acts of Kindness) and provide guidance to Outreach Coordinators on how to record quality content using their mobile devices.
    • Strategic Engagement: Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure video content is strategically placed to support fundraising campaigns, grant applications, and volunteer recruitment.
