    Description

    Break Free: Mental Health, Healing & Hope for Survivors is seeking a creative, reliable Volunteer Social Media Manager to help amplify our mission, grow community awareness, and share survivor-centered messaging across social platforms.

    This is a non-board, volunteer role focused on content creation, scheduling, and engagement. The Social Media Manager works closely with the Founder and volunteers to ensure our online presence is thoughtful, trauma-informed, and aligned with Break Free’s values.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and schedule content across social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook)
    • Create and curate posts that reflect Break Free’s mission, programs, events, and educational efforts
    • Maintain a consistent, trauma-informed voice and visual style
    • Monitor messages and comments, flagging any sensitive or concerning interactions
    • Collaborate on campaign planning for awareness events, fundraisers, and outreach initiatives
    • Track basic engagement metrics and share insights for improvement

    Qualifications:

    • Experience managing social media accounts (personal, professional, or volunteer)
    • Strong written communication skills and comfort with sensitive topics
    • Understanding of or willingness to learn trauma-informed and survivor-centered messaging
    • Organized, reliable, and able to meet posting schedules
    • Familiarity with tools like Canva or scheduling platforms is a plus

    Time Commitment:

    • Approximately 1-5 hours per week (flexible)
    • Remote-friendly; occasional coordination meetings as needed
