    Description

    Prospective committee volunteers must be members of PSGA or attendee of prior PSGA Funders Forum.

    About the committee:

    Seattle Funders Forum (SFF) is an annual PSGA event with 100 to 165 people in attendance. 2026 will be the 23rd year for the Seattle Funders Forum. Our committee of 4 to 8 people has implemented the funders forum in last 5 years creating a digital zoom experience which has been well received. This is a PSGA member-focused event, where grantseekers have an opportunity to hear first-hand from funders what they look for in a LOI or grant request and to ask questions of the funder.

    The 2026 SFF date is TBD, but usually the last Friday in April or the first Friday in May.

    Your time commitment: Estimated 15 hours, plus the day of the event assuming the plan below is implemented;

    • January - Kick-off mtg, meet virtually, welcome new committee members, assign each member to lead one area (see descriptions below), walk through our event planning, survey attendees on the best day and time to meet, and create a committee member list with email and phone and what their lead role is.
    • February - Save the date begins (send to funders), research funders to approach (must have open calls to be invited) and assignments, and confirm we have leads for each area needed for the event.
    • March/April -
      • ALL OF US, help confirm funders in a coordinated manner (assignments) plus take on one of the following leadership roles:
        • Tracking of funders;
        • Recruit Session Monitors;
        • Outreach with inclusion and equity in mind;
        • Marketing;
        • Editor who cleans up our collective work;
        • Sponsorships;
        • Collect Funder Bios, handouts.

    We are seeking PSGA members who are willing to join a team of grant writers who help to create PSGA's best-attended event: the Seattle Funders Forum! Looking forward to working together for another rewarding event!
