    Description

    Right Step to Opportunities: Help Youth Stay on the Right Path

    Prince William County Office of Youth Services is seeking dedicated volunteers for the Right Step to Opportunities program - a diversion initiative designed to help youthful offenders avoid the juvenile justice system and build a brighter future.

    As a Right Step Volunteer, you will:

    • Participate in Community Conference hearings with youth and their parent(s)
    • Help determine appropriate sanctions and positive opportunities
    • Support youth in making better choices

    Requirements:

    • Complete training sessions on Right Step and best practices for conducting community conference hearings
    • Commit to at least six hearings per year
