As we grow, we are seeking a licensed CPA or Enrolled Agent to support our annual nonprofit tax and compliance filings on a pro bono or significantly reduced-fee basis.

This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional interested in skills-based volunteering or mission-aligned nonprofit work.

    Scope of Work

The selected CPA will support the organization with:

    • Preparation and/or review of IRS Form 990
    • Guidance on required state charitable filings
    • Review of financials prepared by Truth Hackers (no bookkeeping required)

    • Active CPA license or Enrolled Agent status
    • Demonstrated experience with nonprofit accounting and Form 990 preparation
    • Familiarity with U.S. nonprofit compliance requirements
    • Ability to work remotely and communicate clearly with a small, fast-moving team

    • Clear scope, defined timeline, and organized financial materials
    • Opportunity to support a mission-driven nonprofit working at the intersection of media, science, and public understanding
    • Potential for an ongoing annual relationship if the initial engagement is a good fit
