TikTok and Instagram Creator (Volunteer)

We coach activists to lead lawful, nonviolent civil resistance against Trump and his enablers.

Through strategic campaigns, toolkits, boycotts, and community organizing, we’re contributing to the movement to resist this authoritarian administration and begin rebuilding our democracy - and we’re going to win.

Position Overview

We’re seeking a creative and passionate TikTok and Instagram Creator to help amplify our message, inspire action, and recruit activists to our movement. This position will have significant creative control to develop compelling content that promotes our campaigns, provides education about nonviolent resistance tactics, and builds community among all of those committed to resisting authoritarianism and defending democracy.

This role requires a weekly commitment of five hours, including a one hour weekly marketing meeting.

Responsibilities:

Create and post engaging TikTok and Instagram content that promotes #ResistTrump campaigns, boycotts, toolkits, and other actions

Develop both-on camera and off-camera content that is engaging, inspires, educates, and recruits activists

Stay current with TikTok and Instagram trends and adapt them to our mission and messaging

Collaborate with the marketing team during weekly meetings to align content with campaign priorities

Monitor engagement, respond to comments, and foster community building

Work within brand guidelines while bringing fresh, creative perspectives

Help grow our TikTok and Instagram presence and expand our reach to new audiences

Ideal Candidate

Deep passion for democracy, social justice, and nonviolent resistance

Strong conviction and alignment with our mission to resist authoritarianism

Understanding of Instagram and TikTok platforms and recent changes to TikTok Community Guidelines

Ability to translate campaign strategies into compelling visual stories

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Must Be and Have

Self-motivated and able to work independently

Reliable and able to meet outlined content deadlines

Open to feedback and collaborative iteration

Judgment and discretion when representing the organization

Requirements

Three month commitment

Available for one-hour weekly marketing meetings via Zoom on Wednesdays, 4PM EST
