Position Summary
The Membership Director (Volunteer) will lead efforts to build, engage, and retain the membership base of WOSMA. This role focuses on developing meaningful connections with riders, clubs, dealerships, and partners to ensure members experience the full value of the ADVOCATE CARD™ program. As a volunteer leader, the Membership Director will help establish systems and strategies that support the association’s growth and sustainability, contributing to WOSMA’s mission of enhancing the motorcycling experience while uplifting communities.
This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about motorcycling, enjoys community engagement, and wants to make an impact through service and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Engagement & Growth
- Promote WOSMA membership through outreach to riders, clubs, and dealerships.
- Encourage new member enrollment by sharing the benefits of the ADVOCATE CARD™ program.
- Support onboarding of new members and foster connections to increase member satisfaction.
- Assist in re-engaging lapsed members through outreach efforts.
Program Support
- Help coordinate membership benefits such as roadside assistance, discounts, and event access.
- Identify new opportunities for partnerships that add value for members.
- Provide input to improve membership processes, forms, and communications.
Outreach & Promotion
- Represent WOSMA at motorcycle events, rallies, and community activities.
- Collaborate with the communications team to promote membership through social media and community networks.
- Share stories of how membership supports riders and communities.
Administrative Support
- Help maintain accurate member records in the membership database (NetSuite).
- Assist with membership reports, tracking sign-ups, renewals, and retention.
- Follow organizational policies to ensure smooth and secure operations.
Collaboration
- Work with volunteers, ambassadors, and RUSH teams to expand membership promotion efforts.
- Partner with committees and leadership to integrate membership into broader initiatives.
- Support sponsorship and fundraising activities by highlighting membership value.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in motorcycling culture and community development.
- Experience in outreach, sales, customer service, or nonprofit leadership (preferred, not required).
- Basic familiarity with CRM systems (training provided).
- Reliable, organized, and able to commit volunteer time consistently.
Time Commitment
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week, flexible with personal schedule.
- Occasional participation in events, meetings, and outreach activities.
